My name is Steven Diaz and I am a math instructor for the Academic Enhancement Center at St. Thomas University. In addition,  I facilitate online courses for Axia College of University of Phoenix and Bryant & Stratton College. My birthplace was in Brooklyn, New York on April 1, 1968; however, I lived 23 years in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. I currently live in Miami, Florida.

My academic preparation consists of a Bachelor Degree in Science, Major in Mathematics from University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus
and a Master Degree in Science, Major in Mathematics Education from Nova Southeastern University

In addition, I plan to create a math center for the Academic Enhancement Center at St. Thomas University to help students overcome their math anxieties and succeed in their math courses.  Finally, I plan to write articles about math education and integrating technology in the classroom, and to mentor new math teachers.
